How to Set Up Your Core Wallet on EmptyChain
Setting up the Emptycoin Core Wallet on your desktop for Windows OS
Step 1: Download the Wallet
Go to the Downloads section and download the Core Wallet for your operating system (Windows, Linux, or macOS).
Step 2: Install and Launch
Extract the downloaded file and run the emptycoin-qt.exe executable. On first launch, the wallet will begin syncing with the Emptycoin network. This may take some time, depending on how old the blockchain. Note: by default, the Emptycoin CoreWallet with a good balance, can stake automatically without encryption.
Step 3: Add Peer Nodes
To ensure proper and fast connectivity, add these peer nodes to your wallet configuration:
addnode=node1.mpty.site:25660
addnode=node2.mpty.site:25660
Copy these two nodes and Go to Help → Settings → Options → Open Configurations files → OK and paste the addnode commands, or add them directly to your emptycoin.conf file. And SAVE.. You should thereafter, exit and relaunch the wallet.
Step 4: BackUp and Encrypt Your Wallet
How to BackUp your Emptycoin Wallet
Launch your Emptycoin Wallet. Click on Files → Backup Wallet. Choose the directory you want to save your backup file, name it as "wallet"
How to Encrypt your Emptycoin Wallet
Go to Settings → Encrypt Wallet to set a passphrase.
⚠️ Important
NB: Never share your private keys or wallet.dat file with anyone. Ensure you store your backup in an offline, secure location, safe from easy access or corruption. It holds all the private keys to your wallet. Any lose of it cannot be recovered. Delibrately store in multiple places (hard-drive, email etc).
NB: Encrypting your wallet prevents just anyone from sending or withdrawing your coins without your permission. Ensure that you BackUp first, before Encrypting your wallet. During encryption, you will use a passprhase of your choice. I would recommend you use your "youremail" or "mobilenumber" can be use as passphrase, but be discreet.
